How I Use It

Using the Bon Charge Red Light Therapy device has fit seamlessly into my routine. I use it at least three times a week for about 10 minutes per session. Either I hold it close to my skin or place it on a stand.

To make the most of this time, I listen to a 10-minute guided meditation, which helps me relax and ensures my eyes are closed (very important!). This way, I get my therapy and a bit of mindfulness in one go, knowing the session is done when the meditation ends.

If you are just starting out, it’s better to slowly increase your session duration over time to ensure your skin gets used to it. You should also start at a distance of about 20cm from your skin and gradually decrease the distance to as close as 7cm as your skin gets used to it.

Results so Far

Seeing results from red light therapy takes time, so you need to be patient. After 6 weeks of regular use, I haven’t noticed any dramatic changes yet. I really wish I had taken before photos for comparison. But studies show that red light therapy does work for anti-aging, like reducing fine lines and wrinkles, however, you need to use it consistently for months to see positive effects.

While it’s still early for me, my skin hasn’t been bad lately. The fine lines on my forehead seem a bit better, though I might be imagining it.

Apart from using it on my skin, I sometimes use the device on my knee, which flares up occasionally due to an old injury. Once, after exercising, my knee was uncomfortable, so I used the red light therapy on it. The next day, my knee felt better. I’m not sure if it was the device or just the rest, but it seemed to help.
